The Bundaberg Jenbach locomotive
The Bundaberg Jenbach locos were the first Australian built diesels used on the sugar cane railways and were powered by a 6 cylinder Gardener engine driving through a mechanical transmission and reversing box.
Three miniature versions were built, two of which have been sold and these are powered by a 13HP engine driving a 160A alternator which powers a 24V 2KW electric traction motor.
